Iraq’s reiterates Support for Holding Geneva2 Conference

BAGHDAD – Iraq’s Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari has reiterated Iraq’s support for ongoing efforts to hold the International Conference on Syria (Geneva2).

An Iraqi Foreign Ministry statement said that during his meeting on Monday with the Executive Director of the Middle East Region at the European Foreign Affairs Department and Head of the EU mission in Iraq, Zebari described Geneva2 as an important chance to reach an agreement, urging all Syrian parties including the “Syrian opposition” to participate constructively and without preconditions in the conference in order to decide the country’s future.
