Iraq’s Foreign Minister in Syria for Talks on Boosting Bilateral Ties

DAMASCUS, (ST)-Iraq’s Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari is on a three-day visit to the Syrian Arab Republic at the invitation of his Syrian counterpart Walid al-Maollem.

The Iraqi top diplomat, who arrived in Damascus today morning, is to hold talks with senior state officials aiming to boost bilateral relations between Syria and Iraq and to discuss regional and international issues of common interest.

 Al-Jaafari was welcomed at Damascus International Airport by minister al-Moallem as well as by a number of foreign ministry officials and the Iraqi Ambassador in Damascus.
