Iraq launches a security operation to hunt down the remnants of “ISIS” terrorists

Baghdad, (ST) – Iraqi joint forces launched a security operation today to hunt down ISIS terrorists in Salah al-Din province.

A statement from the Popular Mobilization forces quoted by the Iraqi News Agency said that “a force embarked on a security operation in the island of Mtaibijh and surrounding areas to pursue the remnants of the terrorist organization and clear the mines, indicating that the operation resulted in finding the hideouts of ISIS terrorists as well as in dismantling a number of IEDs intended for bombing.

The Iraqi Interior Ministry announced yesterday the destruction of eight dens of ISIS terrorists and the seizure of 11 explosive devices in Kirkuk in northern Iraq.
