Baghdad, (ST) – Iraq and Iran on Wednesday signed 14 MoUs in various fields, in the presence of Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian following their talks in Baghdad.
The MoUs, according to a statement by the Iraqi Prime Minister’s Office, included the fields of economy, training cooperation, youth and sports, cultural, artistic and archaeological exchange, education, media cooperation, communications and other fields.
Al-Sudani stressed during his meeting with President Pezeshkian in Baghdad earlier today the importance and necessity of bilateral cooperation between Iraq and Iran to confront challenges in the region.
During the meeting, they discussed a number of files and topics of common interest, which aim to enhance the level of cooperation and partnership between the two countries.
The two sides stressed the need to confront economic and security challenges in the region in order to achieve stability and development.
