Iraq, Egypt, Jordan call on the international community to assume its responsibilities to stop the aggression on Gaza and Lebanon

New York,(ST)- The foreign ministers of Iraq, Egypt and Jordan called on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities to stop the Israeli aggression on Gaza and Lebanon. They stressed that the Israeli entity is pushing the region towards a comprehensive war.

Iraqi News Agency (INA) reported that the Iraqi Foreign Ministry said in statement: The three ministers, Fouad Hussein, Ayman Safadi and Badr Abdel Aati, discussed during their meeting on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York the dangerous escalation taking place in the region, and discussed the course of action within the framework of the tripartite cooperation mechanism in preparation for the upcoming tripartite summit at the leaders’ level in Cairo.

The foreign ministers condemned the Israeli aggression on Lebanon, stressing that the Israeli entity is pushing the region towards a comprehensive war and that stopping this escalation begins with stopping the Israeli aggression on Gaza.

The ministers called on the international community and the Security Council to assume their relevant responsibilities to stop the war. They stressed that “Israel” bears full responsibility for this deterioration which will have serious consequences for the entire region.
