Baghdad (ST): Iraq recorded more than 500 cases of suffocation as a result of the dust storm that hit the capital, Baghdad, and several governorates yesterday.
Alsumaria news website quoted Ministry of Health spokesman Saif Al-Badr as saying in a statement today, “The number of cases of suffocation due to the dust storms in all governorates amounted to more than 500 cases of suffocation of different severity,” noting that all cases were discharged from hospitals after receiving the necessary medical care.
The administration of Baghdad International Airport announced yesterday the suspension of its flights due to bad weather conditions.
