Iranian President renewed support for the Syrian people in confronting terrorism

TEHRAN,(ST)_ Iranian President Hassan Rohani stressed his country’s support for the Syrian people in addressing and combating terrorism and terrorist organizations and conspiracies of global arrogance.

The Iranian news agency IRNA quoted Rohani as saying during a meeting yesterday evening, before a crowd of religious scholars and the elites in Jharmhal and Bakhtiari province southwestern, that Iran is the biggest regional power, which supports Syria, Iraq and Lebanon in the fight against terrorism and the Palestinian people against crimes committed by the Zionist entity.

Rohani stressed that the Iranian government will continue to keep pace with the Iranian people, its procedures, and efforts in issues pertinent to foreign policy and the nuclear issue, and support for the oppressed in the region, calling for caution against the conspiracies of global arrogance against Iran and the Middle East during the volatile situation experienced by the region.

He emphasized that Iran steadfastness before the pressures of the major powers and international criminals, who want to interfere in their internal affairs is a respect for the path pursued by martyrs, and sacrifices.

The Iranian President also renewed Iran’s support for the Syrian people as well as Iraqi and Lebanese peoples in the face of the phenomenon of terrorism, which they are exposed to.
