Damascus (ST): The Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyed Reza Fatemi Amin, affirmed that there are great potentials for developing economic relations between Syria and Iran.
In a press statement after arriving at Damascus International Airport, Fatemi Amin said: “During the visit to Syria, many proposals that fit the capabilities and circumstances of the two countries and constitute an important turning point for bilateral relations will be discussed .”
For his part, Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, Dr. Muhammad Samer Al-Khalil, who received the Iranian minister, stressed that the Iranian delegation’s visit comes within the framework of continuing communication and coordination between the two sides to strengthen relations in various fields, with a focus mainly on the economic aspect in the commercial, industrial and investment fields.
Al-Khalil explained that the visit will witness important meetings at the level of official events, as well as the opening of the second Iranian products exhibition in Damascus, with the participation of 164 Iranian companies from various sectors, transferring with them the great experiences and capabilities that Iran enjoys in various fields that Syria needs.
Minister Al-Khalil indicated that the planned meetings and events will give the opportunity to present the Investment Law No. 18 and the most important investment opportunities available in Syria.
The Iranian minister and the accompanying delegation will participate in the opening of the second Iranian products exhibition today, on the 29th of November, which will continue until the 3rd of December in the Fairs City.
