Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Commander Qasem Soleimani killed by American terrorist attack: the vicious United States takes revenge against the Axis of Resistance and The Victor over terrorism
What happened?
This Friday morning, the 3th of January, the United States carried out one of their most heinous crimes yet which plunges not only the Middle East but the whole world in an extremely dangerous situation, possibly bringing it to the edge of war. This morning, the United States assassinated the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Commander Qasem Soleimani, the deputy chief of the Iraqi Popular Mobilisation Forces (PMF) Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis as well as other members of the PMF with a targeted airstrike near Baghdad International Airport.
Who was Major-General Qassem Soleimani?
Major-General Qassem Soleimani was born in 1957 in Qanat-e Malek, Kerman province, Iran.
Following the victory of the Iranian Islamic revolution in 1979, he joined the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC).
During the imposed Iraqi war on Iran (1980 – 1988), he led numerous battles leading to victory.
Later on Major-General Qassem Soleimani was appointed as the chief of the The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Quds Force where he became well known in the battle against foreign interventions in the region and organising and assisting the allies of the axis of resistance against the foreign interventionist agressors and occupiers.
When these foreign interventionist nations, mainly the United States and Israel, allied with Takfiri and Wahhabi terrorist groups, Major-General Qassem Soleimani led Iranian military advisers assisting the Syrian and Iraqi army in their fight against these terrorists and foreign occupation. In this role he became a legend because of his excellent strategic talents and insights.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei vowed a “harsh revenge” following the assassination of Major- General Qassem Soleimani.
A brief background
When looking into the causes of the problems of the Middle East and the phenomenon of terrorism in modern history two main components are omni present, namely the Unites States and its protégé Israel. A few examples are the destruction and invasion of Iraq (1991 -1993) as well as Libya (2011), supporting the Saudi war against and the killing of the Yemeni people and the continuous support for Daesh (ISIS) and other terrorist groups responsible for the most horrific crimes in Syria and Iraq, resulting into the failed attempt of regime change in Syria, but also leading to hundreds of thousands of victims within the Syrian military and population, millions of internal and external refugees and catastrophic destruction of infrastructure and economic assets since 2011. Besides all these crimes the United States also continues sponsoring Israel and its savage occupation of Palestine and aggression against the Palestinian people despite numerous United Nations resolutions condemning Israel’s actions.
The formation of the resistance front
As a result of American and Israeli aggression, murder, destruction and policies of regime change with the purpose to install puppet regimes blindly obeying its masters in Washington, putting the people into modern slavery, plundering the natural resources, especially the oil reserves, they plunged the people into poverty and submission. As a reaction against these heinous and continuous crimes, plundering and killing a popular movement began to form resisting the occupying forces and their barbaric terrorist allies leading to an allied front and coalition reaching from Iran to Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Palestine. But the resistance front is not limited to these countries and continuous to grow in Yemen in combination with popular uprisings against the corrupt regimes in other countries of the region oppressing and persecuting their own population and surviving only because of direct American support and intervention to these corrupt regimes.
Why the killing of Major-General Soleimani?
Because the legendary commander Qasem Soleimani succeeded with his highly focused strategic insights and guidance defeating Daesh and other foreign backed terrorist groups in the region, especially in Syria and Iraq, he became a symbol of resistance against oppression and the struggle of the people for freedom. Not only in the region but worldwide. As a symbol of the fight against terrorism and foreign intervention he became a beacon of hope for all the oppressed people. Because his strategic talents and capabilities in combination with his symbolic status as a force against oppression and injustice, he became a major problem for the United States and Israel. The liquidation of this heroic commander became their most urgent priority. Today, Friday January 3th 2020, the United States carried out their heinous crime and killed Major-General Soleimani with a targeted airstrike. What the criminal murderers of Qasem Soleimani didn’t seem to understand is that by killing the commander they made him an eternal martyr.
What now?
The murder of Major-General Soleimani is not only an evil crime but by carrying out this assassination, the United States plunged the whole region and far beyond in a state of doubt and incertitude. What is sure is that the Iranian nation is not going to let this pass without consequences. No doubt that an Iranian response will follow. What this response will be is an unknown but as the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, promised a “harsh response”, we can expect everything. Taking into account the strategic status of the region because of its oil reserves, an all out war will most probably lead to other nations allied with the United States becoming involved which on its turn will unite the people’s resistance against the hegemonic despotism of the United States potentially resulting, at worst, in a world war.
By murdering Major-General Soleimani, the United States opened the box of Pandora not knowing what is inside and what is to come.
