Iranian Foreign Ministry Summons the Chargé d’Affaires of  Swedish Embassy

Tehran-(ST)- The Iranian Ministry of Foreign summoned the Chargé d’Affaires of the Swedish Embassy in Tehran, in protest against the publication of biased and baseless accusations by a Swedish official against Iran.

The Iranian news agency  IRNA reported that the Assistant Director General of the Western Europe Department of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign  summoned the Swedish official yesterday to inform him of the Republic of Iran’s protest against the statements based on false information under the influence of the Zionist entity.

During the meeting, the Iranian official expressed Tehran’s rejection of these accusations, noting that publishing unfounded allegations shows the intention of some parties to undermine long-term relations between the two countries.

Accordingly, Swedish officials are expected to remain more vigilant towards suspicious trends.

For his part, the temporary charge d’affaires of the Swedish Embassy in Iran said that he would inform his country’s capital of the matter immediately.
