Iranian Foreign Ministry: Resistance is the only way to save Palestine
On August 21st, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani stressed that the resistance is the only way to save Palestine.
“Al-Aqsa Mosque will remain the center of resistance against Zionism until the complete liberation of Palestine,”the Iranian news agency IRNA quoted Kanaani as saying in a tweet on his Twitter account on the occasion of the 52nd anniversary of the Zionists burning Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Kanaani indicated that the crime of burning the mosque was not the first and last of the occupiers of Palestine.
It is noteworthy that on August 21, 1969, an Australian Zionist terrorist named Dennis Michael Rohan set fire to the tribal prayer hall in Al-Aqsa Mosque in coordination with the occupation authorities with the aim of destroying the most important religious and historical landmarks of occupied Jerusalem.
The fire destroyed 1,500 square meters of the mosque’s 4,400 square meters.
