Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian called for respect for Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, stressing his country’s opposition to geopolitical changes in the region.
During a joint press conference with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in Tehran today, Abdullahian stressed the necessity of respecting Syria’s sovereignty and not compromising its territorial integrity.
Abdullahian stressed the priority of the Palestine issue, stressing that the presence of the Zionist entity in the region has not resulted in anything other than strife, division between its countries, and instability.
The Iranian Foreign Minister stated that his country opposes any geopolitical changes in the region and restrictions on existing historical transit routes there.
