Iranian companies, participated in “Syrpetro 2023” Exhibition, ready to cooperate with Syrian companies in oil field

The presence of Iranian companies in the 4th  International Syrian Exhibition for Petroleum, Gas and Energy “Syrpetro 2023” [ Held from 7 to 10 of July on the Fairground in Damascus] was remarkable and distinguished as they have shown interest in cooperation with the participating companies.

Eng. Mazen Al-Ezzaqwi, the agent of the Iranian “Pumpiran” Company in Syria told Syria Times e-newspaper:” The company  was established in 1973 and it belongs to the ‘Pumpiran’ holding company. It is one of the leading companies that are specialized in producing all types of pumps for the oil industry. The goal of our participation in this event is to sign deals with the participating companies.”

He added that the commercial exchange between Iran and Syria helps enhance cooperation between the companies of the two countries.

The Head of Exportation Department at the Iranian “ Zamharir” company, Javad Rabbani told us that his company’s participation in this exhibition is the third.

“Our company specializes in producing tanks for oil, gas and petrochemical materials. We have been able to be the most advanced manufacturer of cryogenic tanks according to international standards in West Asia during a decade of our activity,” he added.

While, Hassan Kayan, the Head of Marketing at the Iranian “Hammers’ Company, said: “We are ready to cooperate with Syrian companies as Iran has great capabilities in the oil, gas and petrochemical sectors….We are ready to provide Syria with the technology and equipment used in building refineries and petrochemical facilities, and Iran can put its capabilities in the service of development and reconstruction of Syria.”

On the 9th of July, the Iranian Deputy Minister of Oil, Vahid Reza Zaidi Fard,  asserted that his country is ready to support Syria in the fields of oil, gas and mineral wealth, and to exchange experiences in these fields.

On  the 7th of July- at the opening ceremony of the “Syrpetro 2023” exhibition, Syrian Oil Minister Firas Hassan Qaddour revealed that the losses in the oil, gas, and mineral sectors in Syria hit $100 billion, according to the Chinese News Agency Xinhua.

As a result of the U.S. sanctions and military presence in Syria, oil production has decreased from 385,000 barrels per day (bpd) before the crisis to 15,000 bpd at the present, while gas production has decreased from 30 million cubic meters per day to 10 million cubic meters per day, according to the head of the Syrian Petroleum Company Farhan Jamil Abdullah.
