Iranian ambassador in Beirut injured in wireless communication device explosion

The Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Mojtaba Amani was injured in a wireless communication (pager) device blast, Iranian media outlets announced on Tuesday.

The Iranian Embassy in Beirut clarified that the Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Mojtaba Amani is in good health and sustained superficial injuries.

The Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi condemned in a call with his Lebanese counterpart the criminal Israeli aggression on Lebanon that targeted civilians.

Araghchi offered condolences to the Lebanese people and announce Iran’s absolute solidarity with them and its readiness to send all kinds of assistance.

Araghchi also thanked the Lebanese government for its urgent action to transfer the Iranian ambassador to the hospital and treat him after his injury.
