Iran welcomes the decision to resume Syria’s participation in the Arab League meetings

Tehran (ST): The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed the decision of the Arab foreign ministers to resume Syria’s participation in the meetings of the Council of the Arab League.

Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani said in a statement today, reported by IRNA: “The solving of differences between Islamic countries and the rapprochement and cooperation between them have positive results on stability and the establishment of comprehensive peace, and it also provides the ground for reducing foreign interventions .”

President Raisi’s visit to Syria set a new path for the two countries’ relations

On President Ebrahim Raisi’s recent visit to Syria, Kanaani affirmed that the visit was very important to set a new path for relations between the two countries.

Kanaani added that the visit was one of the important events in the developments in Iran and Syria after the victory of the axis of resistance  “This visit was a great opportunity to define a new path for relations between the two countries in the post-terrorism phase,” he continued.

Kanaani pointed out that one of the goals of the visit is to define a new path for relations between the two countries in the economic and trade fields, in addition to other areas of bilateral cooperation.
