Iran warns of serious consequences of Israeli crimes in Lebanon

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi  warned of the very serious consequences of the new terrorist attacks by the Zionist entity against Lebanon, represented by the assassination of Hezbollah leader, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.
During two separate meetings with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and the President of the UN General Assembly, Araghchi stressed the UN’s responsibility to take urgent action to protect regional and international peace and security, describing the obstacles placed by the United States in the UN Security Council and its prevention of taking any action to force the Zionist entity to stop the genocide in Gaza and the attacks on Lebanon as illegal and shameful.
“America is an absolute partner in the crimes and evils of Israel and the bunker-busting bombs it provided to the Israeli entity to assassinate resistance leaders are a prominent example of its involvement in Israel’s crimes ” Araghchi said.
He noted  the failure of the UN Security Council to take any effective action and its inability to issue even a simple statement condemning the genocide and Israeli aggression, stressing the legal and moral duty of the Secretary-General and the President of the General Assembly to mobilize the international community to confront the evil practices of the usurping entity.
Araghchi affirmed  the determination of the Islamic Republic of Iran to comprehensively defend its vital interests and national security against the evil practices of the Zionist entity.
“The path and aspirations of resistance against Israeli aggression and occupation will continue with strength, and the crimes of the Zionist entity will make the peoples of the region more determined to achieve their confirmed rights and confront the evils of the Israeli entity.”he added.
