Iran: US attack on areas in Syria’s Deir Ezzor a continuation of Zionist entity’s constant acts of aggression on Syrian soil
The Iranian Foreign Ministry strongly condemned yesterday’s US attack on territories in the Syrian province of Deir Ezzor near the Syrian-Iraqi borders.
The ministry’s spokesperson Saeed Khatibzadeh called the airstrike a continuation of the Zionist entity’s constant acts of aggression on Syrian soil that are further destabilizing the region, stressing that this US attack is a flagrant violation of Syrian sovereignty, international laws and human rights.
Khatibzadeh also said that the US troops have maintained an illegal presence in Syria for years and they have been looting Syria’s oil and training terrorists to use them in implementing their goals.
Earlier Russia and China condemned the attack, stressing that it is an unacceptable violation of international law.
Meanwhile in Beirut, the General Secretariat of the General Conference of Arab Parties described the US aggression as a dangerous escalation in the region and a flagrant violation of international law that directly targets a sovereign state.
In a statement on Friday, the Secretariat said that the justification provided by the US administration for launching this aggression are void and not based on facts, and this indicates the current administration’s floundering policy and uncovers the lies of US politicians.
