Iran: US aggression on Syrian-Iraqi bordering area violates UN Charter

Iran’s Ambassador to the United Nations Majed Tacht Ravanchi has stressed that the American aggression on the Syrian-Iraqi bordering area is illegal and it violates the UN Charter.

In a letter to the President of the Security Council, Ravanchi condemned the US aggression, reiterating that the US policy of accusing others in the region is an attempt to find a cover for its irresponsible destabilizing activities in the region and to divert the world attention away from its illegal military measures and adventures in this region.

He affirmed that this policy is doomed to failure.

Syria has condemned the US aggression, asserting that it blatantly violates the Syrian and Iraqi territories.
