Iran Urges France to Be Serious in Protecting Iranian Diplomatic Missions

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi called on France to take serious actions in supporting Iranian diplomatic missions in Paris.

Qasemi made the remarks Saturday in reaction to recent attack by some adversaries affiliated to the terrorist group let.

Some anti-Iran elements attempted to damage Iranian embassy in Paris, he told reporters confirming the news regarding the attack on Friday evening.

 The attackers could not break into the embassy building but they started throwing stuff towards the building, he added.

Naturally, the French police was expected to be ready in the place, but unfortunately they were not in place when the accident happened, Qasemi noted.

He also called for trying and punishing those who were arrested related to accident.

Hosting country is responsible for safeguarding diplomatic sites, he reiterated.
