Iran to Release Technical Nuclear Statement to Be Registered UN Document

Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said on Monday that Iran will release a technical statement to be registered as the United Nations document after IAEA Board of Governors adopts resolution on Iran on December 15.

The decision to release a technical statement comes as Iran believes that the recent report by the IAEA on Iran’s nuclear program is ambiguous, Araqchi said quoted by raporteur of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission NozarShafiei.

Shafiei told IRNA that, during his presence in the Majlis commission earlier Monday,Araqchi had said that important part of the IAEA report is verifying non-diversion of Iran’s nuclear program.

From now on, the IAEA’s agenda will be how to implement the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action – not the so-called possible military dimensions (PMD) of Iran’s nuclear program – based on an IAEA Board of Governors’ resolution expected to be released on Tuesday, Araqchi said.
