Iran: The riots are a futile attempt by the enemies of the people that will fail

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Iran confirmed that the riots and protests that took place in some Iranian regions are a futile attempt by the Iranian people’s enemies that will fail.

“The enemies of Iran are taking advantage of every opportunity to achieve their goals, and what is happening today is a conspiracy that comes after gathering, unifying, organizing and training all the failed and scattered capabilities of them,” the Revolutionary Guards’ public relations said in a statement today, circulated by IRNA.

The statement added, “The current strife will only result in another failure that will be an example to be added to the list of failures of the front of the enemies of Iran and the enemies of the revolution,” calling on the judiciary to reveal rumor-mongers and liars in the virtual and real space who endanger society and deal with them decisively and fairly to be an example to others.

The Revolutionary Guards valued the Iranian people’s foresight and their indifference to the enemy’s organized conspiracy against Iran’s security, considering that the current strife aims to avenge the steadfastness of the Iranian people and their development, success and strategic achievements.

The statement said, “The assassination of scholars and elites of the country, the launching of an economic war, the imposition of harsh sanctions, the continuation of propaganda and media war, incitement to demonstrate and fabricating false narratives are just a few examples of the actions of the regime of hegemony, arrogance and Zionism against the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

Some Iranian regions witnessed riots and violence under the pretext of the death of the young woman, Mahsa Amini, as a result of a heart attack inside a police station, which resulted in the death and injury of a number of Iranians, including policemen.

The protests came despite the publication of a video from surveillance cameras documenting the last moments of Amini’s life in the police station and proving that she was not subjected to any violence or abuse, and shows how she was talking to another woman and suddenly she suffered from a heart problem and grabbed her head and fell to the ground.

In turn, the Director-General of Forensic Medicine in Tehran, Mahdi Foroosh, confirmed that there were no traces of beatings and wounds on Amini’s head and face, indicating that all what was said about this was misleading propaganda information aimed at sedition and inciting public opinion.

Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi had announced on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meetings that the judicial authorities would announce the outcome of the investigation into the incident once completed, while Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani condemned the American and European interventions, saying: The countries that have a long history of provoking wars and dealing with violence worldwide lack legitimacy to advise others on human rights.
