Iran: The nuclear activities of the Zionist entity must be subject to the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency

New York (ST): Iran’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Majid Takht Ravanchi, stressed that all nuclear activities of the Zionist entity should be subject to the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency and take a decisive stance towards these activities.

IRNA quoted Takht Ravanchi as telling reporters on the sidelines of the 10th International Conference to Review the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty in New York: “The establishment of a nuclear-weapon-free zone in the Middle East is one of the very important issues,”, adding that the Zionist entity, which possesses hundreds of nuclear warheads, does not want to join the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons and its nuclear facilities are not subject to the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency.

He added that some countries always cooperate with and support this entity, whether during or outside this conference.

Takht Ravanchi considered that the peaceful use of nuclear energy is an important issue and said: “We, as a member of the treaty, want conditions to be provided for us so that we can benefit from the benefits of this treaty.”
