Iran Supports Syrian Efforts to Restore Security and Stability,reiterates Larijani

TEHRAN, (ST) – Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister Dr. Fayssal Mikdad reviewed on Sunday with the Iranian Majlis’s Speaker, Ali Larijani, the current situation in Syria , the region and the growing economic and political relations between Syria and Iran..

“Iran supporst Syria’s efforts to restore security ,stability and the desired political solution through national dialogue away from violence, terrorism and foreign interference,”Larijani stressed.

Al-Mikdad also held the sides who reject dialogue and support terrorism responsibility for the continuation of the crisis in Syria and consequently  the bad  ramifications on the region.

For his part, Mikdad thanked Iran for its principled and firm stances in support of Syria’s government and people and its vision for resolving the crisis based on Syria’s sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity, units of its people, and national dialogue among Syrians.

Syrian Assistant Foreign and Expatriates Minister Ahmad Arnous, Syria’s Ambassador in Iran Dr. Adnan Mahmoud, Consultant of the Shura Council Hossein Sheikh al-Islam, and members of the Majlis attended the meeting.

Mikdad also discussed with Mojtaba Samareh Hashemi, Advisor of the Iranian President, the situation in Syria and the region, bilateral relations, and means for developing them in all fields.
