Iran stresses it won’t hesitate in defending its legitimate interests against any act of aggression

The Iranian Foreign Ministry said  that the Iranian Armed Forces have exercised their right to self-defense under UN Charter and responded to the repeated military attacks of the Zionist entity.

In a statement, the ministry affirmed Iran’s commitment to the principles and objectives of the United Nations Charter and international law, stressing its determination to decisively defend its sovereignty, territorial integrity and national interests against any illegal use of force or aggression.

The Ministry considered that Iran’s resorting to defensive measures in exercising the right to self-defense shows the responsible approach it follows towards regional and international peace and security at a time when the world is witnessing the illegal acts and genocide carried out by the apartheid Zionist entity against the Palestinian people and the continuation of this entity’s aggression against neighboring countries that set fire to the region.

The Ministry stressed that Iran will not hesitate, if necessary, to take further defensive measures to protect its legitimate interests against any aggressive military actions and illegal use of force.
