Iran : Solving Crisis in Syria through Inter-Dialogue

CAPITALS,(ST)_  Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif renewed his country ‘s principled stand in  adoption inter-Syrian  dialogue to resolve the crisis in Syria, pointing out that  he exchanged  views on this matter with UN envoy Lakhdar Brahimi.

Zarif noted  during his meeting yesterday with Brahimi at  the  UN European headquarters in Geneva, according to the Iranian news agency IRNA  the “procedures and efforts  made by the UN envoy to resolve the crisis” , commending simultaneously , “the endeavors of the international community to find a  political and realistic solution for  the current situation in Syria. “

Zarif also noted the efforts made regarding the  humanitarian  measures and dispatching necessary assistance to the Syrian people.

For his part, Brahimi explained “his efforts ” in recent weeks to find a political solution to the crisis in Syria.

Noteworthy that Brahimi visited Tehran on October 29 , as part of his tour, which included several  world  countries in preparation for convening an international  Geneva 2 conference on Syria . Iran,  then,  confirmed  that the only solution to the crisis in Syria, lies in the adoption of political solutions and the internal Syrian dialogue,   reiterating its rejection of any  foreign intervention as well as supporting the armed terrorist groups in Syria.

for his part, the  Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Ghazanfar  Rokon Abadi also renewed  yesterday his country ‘s  position provides for  resolving  the crisis in Syria peacefully,  through dialogue among  the Syrians themselves and support  for any initiative , based on a political solution.

This was expressed in a meeting held in Beirut yesterday between ambassador Abadi and the Lebanese minister of foreign affairs and expatriates Adnan Mansour.
