Iran, Saudi Arabia to enhance relations based on common interests

Tehran, (ST) – The Saudi Ambassador to Iran Abdullah bin Saud Al-Anazi stressed that the relations between Tehran and Riyadh will be constructive and close based on common interests, mutual respect and good neighborliness, and  they are strengthened in all trade, economic, and investment fields.

Al-Anazi said in a statement to IRNA yesterday during the ceremony held on the 74th foundation anniversary of  the People’s Republic of China held at the Chinese embassy in Tehran: “We highly appreciate China’s efforts in completing the agreement to resume relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran, and focusing on the administrative agreement, constructive bilateral cooperation in many fields, and the security agreement that enhances cooperation”.

Al-Anazi added that this agreement was reflected on many files, which contributes to strengthening cooperation between the two neighboring countries to bring peace, enhance security in the region, and achieve well-being for their people.

Al-Anazi pointed out that an official invitation was sent by Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz to Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi to visit Riyadh.
