Tehran, (ST) – The Governor of the Central Bank of Iran Mohammad Reza Farzin and his Russian counterpart Elvira Nabiullina stressed the importance of enhancing trade exchange between the two countries, and the use of national currencies in bilateral trade between them.
“Strengthening and accelerating the development of relations between Iranian and Russian commercial banks is on the agenda,” Farzin said during his meeting on Wednesday in Tehran with Nabiullina and her accompanying delegation.
Farzin stressed the need to increase banking and monetary exchanges and develop cooperation in the field of banking infrastructure between the two countries.
For her part, Nabiullina stressed the importance of enhancing monetary and banking relations as well as the optimal use of the banking infrastructure of the two countries in order to develop trade and economic cooperation.
