Iran, Russia, Negotiation Best Way to Settle Crisis in Syria: Sanaei Says

Chairman of Iran-Russia Parliamentary Friendship Group Mehdi Sanaei said here Wednesday Tehran and Moscow consider negotiations as the best way to settle crisis in Syria, according to IRNA.

Sanaei made the remarks in a meeting with his visiting Russian counterpart Nikolai Levichev in Tehran.

The two countries believe that halting violence and holding negotiations are best ways to resolve the crisis in Syria, he said.

Sanaei noted that Tehran-Moscow cooperation has resulted in change in Westˈs approach towards Syria.

Levichev, for his part, stressed that Iran-Russia Parliamentary Friendship Group plays a pivotal role in fostering mutual relations.

On recent developments in Mideast and North Africa, he said Moscow and Tehran share identical views regarding many regional developments.
