Iran, Russia Call for Collective Campaign Against Terrorist Groups

Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahianin a telephone conversation with Special representative of President Putin on the Middle East Affairs Mikhail Bogdonov on Wednesday called for collective campaign against terrorism.

According to Foreign Ministry Media Department, the two officials discussed the latest developments in the Middle East and exchanged views on ways to solve crises in Syria, Yemen and Lebanon.

The two sides reviewed the third international meeting on Syria and ways to strengthen political trend and democratic process in the country.

 

Amir-Abdollahian and Bogdonov also reviewed the latest developments in Yemen, calling for strengthening political trend and Yemeni-Yemeni talks, as the sole solution to end the humanitarian crisis in the country and welcomed efforts of the UN envoy for cease-fire in Yemen and initiating dialogue among Yemeni parties.
