Tehran (ST) – Iranian Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir Abdollahian, reiterated Iran’s serious will to reach a good and sustainable agreement in the Vienna negotiation to revive the nuclear agreement.
He called on the United States to abandon its additional demands and take realistic steps on the path to the agreement.
Abdollahian said during a telephone conversation with the European Union Commissioner for Foreign and Security Policy Josep Borrell that, “the White House must put aside its additional demands and doubts, be realistic and take steps to find a solution and reach an agreement, stop repeating ineffective behavior, and not resort to pressure and sanctions”. He expressed gratitude for the continued efforts of Borrell and European Coordinator for the negotiation, Enrique Mora, to reach a nuclear agreement.
Borrell valued the positive and serious efforts of Iran in the negotiation process. He stressed his readiness to facilitate and speed up the process on the nuclear agreement through communication and consultation with all parties.
The Iranian Foreign Minister had announced that his country would not abandon the approach of diplomacy and negotiations to reach a good and permanent nuclear agreement.
