Iran: Postponing the negotiations of the nuclear agreement until after the transfer of power in the country
Tehran (ST): Iranian government spokesman, Ali Rabie’, has announced the postponement of negotiations related to reviving the nuclear agreement until after the transfer of full power to the new government in the country.
In a statement today, Rabie’ said, “In the context of achieving all the demands stipulated in the Strategic Action Law issued by the Islamic Shura Council, the leadership decided to postpone these negotiations until after the transfer of full power between the twelfth and thirteenth governments in Iran, noting that with regard to the powers of the twelfth government, the main aspect of these negotiations has been completed and the preliminary agreements in the context of removing the largest percentage of the embargo has been carried out so far.
Regarding the exchange of 10 prisoners between Iran and the United States, Rabie’ said that the Islamic Republic of Iran has always announced its readiness to exchange prisoners with America, but the failure to achieve this until today is due to the lack of the current and previous US administrations to do so, calling on the US government to abandon its unconstructive position.
