Iran: Our country has the right to peacefully benefit from nuclear energy

Tehran (ST): The Iranian Foreign Ministry affirmed that its country has the right to peacefully benefit from nuclear energy, like all other member states of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.

Fars news agency quoted the head of the Department of Peace and International Security in the ministry, Asadullah Eshraq Jahromi, as saying in a press statement today: Peaceful use of nuclear energy is an affirmed right for member states of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, and Iran also enjoys this right as a member of the treaty.

He added: The United States, Britain and France are developing and strengthening their nuclear arsenals, and Germany, contrary to its commitments, hosts nuclear weapons in its territories and overlooks and supports the dangers posed by the nuclear program of the Zionist entity and its secret arsenal.
