Iran is ready to reach a good agreement, says Abdullahian

Tehran, (ST) –  Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian reiterated that his country is ready to reach a fair agreement with Western countries, provided that the negotiating parties fully return to their obligations under the 2015 nuclear agreement.

Fars News Agency quoted Abdullahian as saying during a telephone conversation with his Italian counterpart, Luigi Dimaggio that the new Iranian government is pragmatic and wants to achieve results, and we have exchanged views with the negotiating parties and are ready to reach a good agreement.

“This matter requires the negotiating parties to fully return to their commitments”, Abdullahian added.

Abdullahian also said that all parties have reached a common realization that the United States is the main negligent and responsible for the current situation, while some parties act irresponsibly by remaining silent in the face of America’s ambitions, which played a role in this unacceptable situation.

Abdullahian expressed his country’s readiness to  cooperate with friendly countries, including Italy, in an atmosphere of mutual respect in various fields.
