Iran exchanges technology with many world countries, but Russia is the one the country with has large – scale cooperation with it in that sector, vice-president for science and technology said Tuesday.
Sorena Sattari made the remarks while talking to IRNA on the sidelines of a meeting to introduce Iran’s Nano – technology and investment opportunities.
The meeting was attended by 22 ambassadors from different world countries in Tehran.
Today, we are on the verge of serious change in the country’s economic policies, said Sattari.
Although Iran is a rich country regarding its oil and gas resources, those should not be considered as the country’s main capital, said he.
Instead, he said, the focus should be on the human resources.
Iran to take delivery of S-300 missile defense from Russia soon
On the other hand, Iranian Ministry of Defense and Logistics of the Armed Forces said on Monday that Iran will take delivery of S-300 missile defense system from Russia as per an agreement already signed for.
The Ministry of Defense rejected speculations about procedure for delivery of S-300 missile defense.
S-300 missile system is designed for defensive objectives to protect industrial bodies, military sites and state organizations against enemies’ air strikes.
In 2007, Russia and Iran signed an $800-million deal for the delivery of five S-300 missile defense.
Moscow suspended the deal after the UN Security Council issued an arms embargo on Tehran amid allegations that Iran is planning to produce nuclear arms.
Russian President Vladimir Putin lifted the ban on delivery of S-300 missile defense in April, shortly after the P5+1 and Iran struck the nuclear deal — Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.
