Iran: G7 statement on situation in Iran causes riots

Iran confirmed that the G7 statement issued a few days ago, which is full of lies about internal developments in Iran, contradicts the charter of the United Nations, and causes riots and terrorist attacks in the country.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani said in a statement to IRNA: We strongly condemn and deny what was said in the statement, stressing that those who issued it bear responsibility for their stance towards the Iranian people, as it practically causes riots and terrorist attacks inside the country.

Regarding the part related to the nuclear agreement in this statement, Kanaani expressed Tehran’s rejection of any wrong interpretation of Resolution 2231, issued by the UN Security Council, by the same parties that vetoed and violated this resolution.

The Iranian spokesman stressed that these countries do not have the right to accuse the party most fulfilling its commitments, which is Iran, and claim that it did not abide by the nuclear agreement. He expressed his country’s determination to continue engaging in constructive and logical negotiations to guarantee the legal rights of its people through a good, constructive and sustainable agreement.
