Iran firm in fighting terrorism hubs: Foreign ministry

Tehran– Iran is firmly determined to fight constantly with the hubs creating and training terrorism, Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman said hours after the country’s missile attack against the terrorists’ bastion in Syria.

Every move and measure taken by the military and political sectors of a country conveys a certain message, but what I can say explicitly is Iran’s resolution for an incessant fight against the centers of terrorism creation and training, the country’s foreign ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi said in his weekly press conference on Monday, IRNA reported.

Islamic Revolution Gaurd Corps (IRGC) early morning on Monday launched several surface-to-surface ballistic missiles to terrorists’ positions in Bukamal region, eastern Euphrates in Syria.

Commenting on the US’ move in Iraq in closing its consulate in Basra and accusing Iran of threatening to attack the consulate, he said the US policy in the region and Iraq is evident.

‘It has always been hostile,’ Qasemi said.

‘The US attacked Iraq with the slogan of establishing security, but a long time after the invasion, the US is more than before an origin of violence and instability,’ the spokesman said.

Washington is pursuing the goal of making new troubles for the Iraqi government in the critical era, as well as charging Iran, he added.

Iran is in fact the victim of violent and mercenary groups that were employed by their sponsors hostile to Iran to attack the country’s consulate, the diplomat said, while referring to the evidences that ‘attest to the intervention’.

The spokesman of Iran foreign ministry expressed hope that new Iraqi government will be formed in the coming days based on the will of the Iraqi people, and the country can advance its stability, security and economic development more powerfully.
