Iran criticizes UN Security Council over ignoring the US occupation of Syrian territories

Iran’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Majid Takht Ravanchi has criticized the UN Security Council for ignoring the US occupation of Syrian territories and for its inaction towards the massacres and acts of destruction committed in Yemen.

The Iranian News Agency (IRNA) quoted Ravanchi as saying during the meeting of  the UN General Assembly on  Friday that “the administration of US President Joe Biden continues to adopt a failed policy of utmost pressure and economic terrorism against the Iranian people, stressing that Washington should abandon this aggressive approach.

He also condemned the Israeli entity’s continuous occupation of Palestine, its inhuman siege of Gaza Strip and its crimes of killing the Palestinians and destroying the schools, houses and hospitals in the strip, particularly during last month aggression.

“Unfortunately, the Security Council is watching this situation without taking any action towards it,” he added.
