Iran condemns US interventions to undermine Astana Process

Tehran (ST): The Iranian Foreign Ministry severely denounced the US interference which aims to undermine the Astana Process regarding the crisis in Syria.

In a statement released today, the Ministry said that the US has been working in an irresponsible way concerning what is going on in the region with only one objective, namely justifying its illegitimate presence in Syria and plundering the oil resources of Syrian people.

The statement added that Iran was following closely the latest developments in Idleb, calling for holding a meeting for the leaders of the guarantor states of Astana Process in Tehran and stressing the necessity of combating terrorism and finding out a political solution for the Syrian crisis.
