Iran condemns Israeli attacks on Syria and calls on the Security Council to compel Israel to end the occupation

Iran condemned the Israeli attacks on the Syrian Arab territories, describing them as “hostile and destabilizing activities.”

“The Israeli entity, with its continuous attacks on Syrian territory and its blatant threat to use force against all countries in the region, continues its destabilizing aggressive activities,” the Iranian news agency, IRNA, quoted Iran’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Majid Takht Ravanchi, as saying during the UN Security Council meeting on Wednesday.

On the other hand, Takht Ravanchi reiterated his country’s call to the UN Security Council to compel Israel to end its occupation of the Palestinian and other occupied Arab territories, which constitutes a threat to international peace and security. He underlined the need to hand over the perpetrators of the crimes of the Israeli occupation entity in the occupied Palestinian territories to justice, which are war crimes and crimes against humanity.
