Iran calls on the Security Council to condemn the Israeli occupation entity for its cyber attacks against Lebanon
Iran’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Amir Saeed Irwani announced that his country will seriously follow up on the Israeli cyber-attack that targeted its ambassador to Lebanon.
In a speech he delivered yesterday at the emergency session of the General Assembly, Irwani called on the UN Secretary General and the UN Security Council to condemn the terrorist actions and horrific crimes committed by the Zionist occupation.
He also called for an immediate ceasefire in the occupied Palestinian territories and the realization of the Palestinians’ undeniable right to self-determination and full membership in the United Nations.
Irwani said: “Based on the general discussions raised in previous meetings as well as the approval of three resolutions on the Palestinian issue at the 10th emergency special session of the General Assembly last year, the international community has declared its commitment to meet urgent humanitarian needs in Palestine. But since then there has been no positive change in the apartheid policies and the Palestinians have no choice but to resist the widespread and destructive attacks launched by the occupation forces and armed settlers against their land and people, including their women and children”.
