Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian has stressed the need to support reconstruction efforts in Syria by the international community.
“During a meeting on Monday , Abdollahian and the United Nations Special Envoy to Syria Geir Pedersen discussed the latest regional and international developments related to Syria, especially “the recent quadripartite meetings of Iran, Russia, Syria and Turkey, and the recent meeting of the foreign ministers of the four countries,” IRNA news agency reported.
Referring to the successful visit of Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi to Syria, Abdollahian affirmed that it is a clear evidence that Syria enjoys a stable stage of security.
The Iranian official called on the international community to provide support for rebuilding and creating suitable conditions for the return of Syrian refugees to their country.
