Iran calls for reopening Rafah crossing to deliver aid to the Palestinian people

Tehran, (ST) – The Assistant to the Iranian President for Women and Family Affairs, Ansia Khazali on Wednesday called for reopening the Rafah crossing, sending the necessary aid to Gaza Strip, helping the oppressed Palestinian people and preventing their  displacement from their lands.

IRNA reported that Khazali, in a symposium entitled “Women in the Al-Aqsa Flood,” pointed  to the brutal acts of violence taking place in Gaza now, as the Zionist entity believes that women and children, with their faith and steadfastness pose a great danger to it. She stressed the necessity of providing a safe place for those women and children in the light of the continued violence practiced against them.

Khazali called for the expulsion of the Zionist entity from the United Nations Women’s Committee, the reopening of the Rafah crossing, and preventing its closure as it is a vital crossing. She also called for sending health and medical aid immediately and for recognizing the right of the Palestinian people to legitimate resistance.

She stressed the necessity of an immediate ceasefire and preventing the forced displacement of the Palestinians.
