Iran calls for holding Israel accountable for its continuous crimes and violations against the Palestinians

Iran has called on the international community to hold Israeli occupation accountable for its incessant crimes and human rights violations against the Palestinian people, emphasizing that collective action will prevent Israel from committing more war crimes and crimes against humanity.

The Permanent Mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations said in a statement on Monday that the Palestinians have long been victims of gross and systematic violations of human rights and humanitarian law by the Israeli occupation.

The mission pointed out that the Israeli forces use live ammunition against civilians, which is a crime against humanity, denouncing the unwavering support of the United States for Israel’s heinous acts over the past decades.

The Israeli occupation also violates the freedom of expression by intimidating, arresting and imprisoning journalists covering the Israeli human rights abuses against the Palestinians, the mission added.
