Iran calls for establishing a special mechanism in the OIC to document the crimes of the Zionist entity

Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Mohammad Mehdi Esmaili, called for the establishment of a special mechanism in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to accurately document the crimes of the Zionist entity. He said: “By collecting conclusive evidence, we can achieve justice through legal means, and ensure that those responsible for these inhuman practices are held accountable for their actions”.
In a speech today during the emergency meeting of the Ministers of Culture and Information of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation held in Istanbul, Ismaili referred to the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza Strip due to the continuing aggression of the Zionist entity with the support of its allies, which has so far resulted in the death of about 30,000 Palestinians and the injury of dozens of thousands and the displacement of hundreds of thousands.
Ismaili said: It is necessary to respond seriously and with determination to this great injustice, genocide and crimes against humanity to which the Palestinian people are exposed, and the feelings of the Islamic world must be mobilized to bring about meaningful changes and reduce the suffering of this people.
Ismaili added: The systematic censorship of the Western media regarding the genocide of Palestinians at the hands of the Zionist entity shows the inverted reflection of events and distortion of facts, which in fact, by influencing the public, undertakes propaganda in favor of the Zionists.
The Iranian minister explained that according to the standards of international law, especially human rights law and international humanitarian law, it is illegal to deliberately target the technical equipment of journalists and their offices, and the mere claim that the media is spreading propaganda cannot be considered a legitimate target for attack, pointing to the need to protect journalists and media workers and enhancing cooperation and media exchange between member states to confront widespread media misinformation by the Zionist entity.
