Iran blames US and its allies for prolonging the crisis in Syria

Iranian Ambassador in Moscow, Kazem Jalali, has stressed that the US and its Western allies are responsible for prolonging the crisis in Syria and increasing the suffering of its people at a time of the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic.

Jalali said in a press conference held via video on Thursday:  “Terrorists who are  backed by Washington and its allies have tried to establish hotbeds for them in Syria and worked to target it …in return, Russia and Iran are the main forces that stand by Syria in fighting international terrorism, and the extremist groups.”

He pointed out that the Americans despicably loot  the Syrian wealth and oil, and admit that publicly and rudely.

Jalali expressed his hope that the Russian and Iranian cooperation relations with the Syrian Government would continue to help the Syrian people get rid of all the economic difficulties they face and to be able to remain resilient in the face of the unilateral measures being imposed by the US and its Western allies.

For his part, Iranian Minister of Defense in a meeting in India on Thursday said that the US and the Zionist regime of Israel use terrorism as a tool for exerting influence [in the region] whenever they find a chance.

Brigadier General Amir Hatami made the remarks at his speech at the Indian Ocean Region (IOR) Defense Ministers’ Conclave underway in India as part of Aero India 2021.

Developments of the recent decades tell all that the today’s world is in dire need of re-organizing its system to make the globe get rid of conventional polarizations, Hatami said.

Hatami left Iranian capital for New Delhi, India, on Tuesday afternoon (February 2) to meet with Indian officials and attend Bangalore Air Show 2021.
