Tehran, (ST) – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi stressed that Iran and Russia are in agreement with regards to the situation in Syria and that the two countries are working in international forums to end tensions and restore stability and security to this country and to the entire region.
Mousavi said in a statement that “his country will not forget the friends who stood beside it in difficult times,” referring to the close ties between Iran and Russia.
Mousavi said that Russia stood by Iran despite the sanctions and pressure imposed by the United States and the West, and despite the economic terrorism directed against it. His country appreciates that Russian and Chinese stands by its side and places them in a different position from the other signatories of the nuclear agreement, including Britain, France and Germany.
