Syrian Science Olympiad team took part in the first round of the competitions of the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) organized online by Singapore. 88 countries are taking part in this scientific event.
The contests kicked off on Tuesday June 22, 2021 and will continue until June 25.
According to the Distinction and Creativity Agency, the Syrian participation kicked off virtually from two exam centers in Damascus and Aleppo through the students Nour Al-Masri from Aleppo, Ali Mansour from Lattakia, Antwan Dabbous from Homs and Bisher Islamboli from Aleppo.
Tests are conducted on two five-hour stages during which the contestants have to solve problems in algorithms and programming.
According to the agency, this is the Syrian Scientific Olympiad’s 13th participation in the IOI competitions.
