International Youth Chamber Launches Opportunities Port Project in Lattakia

Lattakia- The International Youth Chamber of Lattakia Branch launched on Saturday the “Port of Opportunity” project in the Resort of Afamia, due to the strategic importance of the maritime transport sector in the Syrian coast and the importance of empowering young people and qualifying them for the labor market.

 

President of the International Chamber of Youth, Firas Deeb, stressed that the Chamber focuses on the needs of the community and highlights the opportunities in the business sector, especially the maritime transport sector.

Head of the International Chamber of Youth in Lattakia, Mohamed Shammout, explained the vision and direction of the Chamber for the current year, which is to enable young people to develop positively from themselves and then to effect this development on the community and thus work on sustainable projects with emphasis on the need to activate the role of youth organizations in creating positive change.

“The project is part of the scope of the work and derives its vision from the Chamber’s vision of empowering young people and rehabilitating them in different sectors to achieve economic development and sustainable development and highlight the opportunities and possibilities available,” said Ramez Al Suweihah, vice president of the Lattakia Chamber.

For her part, the representative of Noah Navigation Company considered that the support of the project is part of Companies Social Responsibility (CSR) in order to contribute to support the Syrian youth and enable new graduates to enter the labor market.

The International Youth Chamber is a non-profit international organization for young people founded in Syria in 2004 under the auspices of the International Chamber of Commerce in Lattakia in 2008. It is involved in various projects to develop the individual and society.
