DAMASCUS, (ST)- “the government is going into a national dialogue that wouldn’t exclude anyone to discuss the pending issues, deepen democracy, electoral polls and finding a political process with a Syrian will,”said Information Minister Omran al-Zoubi.
Al-Zou’bi made the remarks during a meeting with leadership cadres at al-Baath party’s Branch headquarters in Damascus.
Invitation ,he added, is sent to all Syrians inside and abroad.. guarantees and logistic have been made for the opposition abroad to engage in a serious dialogue.
“Syria is persistent to dialogue even if violence continues, as it will decrease the extent of violence, create a new atmosphere which encourages it with keeping the state’s constitutional right in applying law and consolidating security,” the Minister affirmed.
The minister sees that the international stance began to back on the track after it was reaching a conclusion that “toppling the government by force” is impossible, criticizing the UN Envoy Lakhdar Brahimi who ignored the political program proposed by Syria.
