International Parliament for Peace and Security: Fighting Terrorism Can’t be Done through New Occupation

BEIRUT- Fighting terrorism can neither be done through new occupation nor through sending western military forces to “attain peace “, rather it should be achieved through “reactivating joint security action and finding proper environment based on the concepts of military and political security as well as social, economic and humanitarian stability,” Deputy Foreign Minister of the International Parliament for Peace and Security Haitham Abu Saeed has stressed.

In a statement on Tuesday, Abu Saeed warned against the US’s plan to be the only party which launches airstrikes against positions of terrorist organizations in Syria, Iraq, Yemen or other countries without coordination with these countries. He pointed out that such behavior will have security and economic repercussions on the targeted  states.

Western and American reports had unveiled the involvement of the United States and some Western countries in supporting terrorism through financing, training and arming terrorists to send them to fight in Syria .
